Stuttgart, July 12, 2022

  • MAHLE Supervisory Board appoints Dr. Beate Bungartz effective January 1, 2023
  • Beate Bungartz to succeed Anke Felder, who has not extended her contract

The MAHLE Supervisory Board has appointed Dr. Beate Bungartz (53) as a new Member of the MAHLE Management Board and Corporate Executive Vice President Human Resources. Bungartz comes from Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. KG, Bonn. She succeeds Anke Felder (50), who has been successfully performing this function since January 1, 2020 and has decided not to extend her contract, which expires on December 31, 2022.

Since the end of 2012, Dr. Beate Bungartz has been the Executive Vice President responsible for human resources of automotive component supplier Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. KG – a company of the US conglomerate Textron, where she is also active as a member of the Textron HR Leadership Team. Before joining Textron, Bungartz, who holds a degree in business administration and a PhD in economics, was Senior Vice President Human Resources with Bilfinger Berger SE, where she was responsible for human resources at the Power Services division. Previously, she held various management positions with the Cegelec Group, with headquarters in Paris and Brussels, from 2003 to 2010. Finally, she was Vice President Human Resources with a business division of Cegelec, which now forms part of the Vinci Group. Bungartz, who was born in the Rhineland, also held management positions in human resources and in-house consulting with Deutsche Telekom.

“Beate Bungartz meets all the requirements for actively shaping further transformation processes at MAHLE together with the team of the MAHLE Management Board in an era dominated by severe change,” said Prof. Dr. Heinz Junker, Chairman of the MAHLE Supervisory Board.

The Supervisory Board Chairman honored Anke Felder’s service to the MAHLE Group as follows: “I regret Anke Felder’s decision to leave our company and would like to thank her most sincerely for her strong commitment and for her first-class work over the past few years which were especially challenging as a result of the Covid pandemic and other external factors during a time of continuing transformation. On behalf of the Supervisory Board and the MAHLE Management Board, I wish Anke Felder every success with her future plans.”

Anke Felder is leaving the Group at the end of the year at her own wish in order to reorient herself with respect to plans for her future life. “I would like to thank the MAHLE Supervisory Board, my colleagues on the Management Board and the entire MAHLE team. I am pleased that we have been able to take major future-oriented decisions in the course of the transformation. I wish my successor Dr. Beate Bungartz every success and happiness in her new function,” said Anke Felder.
