MAHLE Powertrain, founded over 50 years ago by Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth as “Cosworth Engineering,” has now been part of the MAHLE Group since 2005.

The Tech Center in Northampton (central England) has 152 R&D employees working in the areas of engineering and test systems. Research and development includes numerous projects for the optimization and ongoing development of the conventional combustion engine and alternative vehicle powertrains, as well as industrial applications. MAHLE Powertrain also supports central Group research and advanced engineering by building prototype engines and complete prototype vehicles.
